ABS Haircell comes with a textured structure on one side and smooth on the other. This gives it a unique feature of hiding any minor scratches that can occur during fabrication or use.
ABS offers excellent impact resistant. The material is able to withstand inorganic salt solutions, alkalis and acids. For large projects special grades with fire resistant additives and UV resistance can be extruded (minimum order quantities).
ABS is the polymerization of Acrylonitrile, Butadiene and Styrene monomers. ABS possesses outstanding impact strength, high mechanical strength and chemical resistance which makes ABS suitable for extremely tough consumer products.
ABS has good dimensional stability and electrical insulating properties. ABS can be thermoformed, blow moulded, sheared, sawn and drilled.
ABS is available in Gloss and Hair-cell finished in both Black and White from 1mm to 4.5mm in a sheet size of 2440 x 1220mm. UV stabilised ABS is also available in selected colours and gauges.
