Allplastics assists many design students with the realization of their projects for the arts, Design and Technology and HSC. Over the last twenty years we have come across a wide array of interesting concepts developed by innovative students.
A recent project involved making large Acrylic letters which read BIN IT.
Amanda Chadwick designed the concept and Allplastics fabrication team assisted her with the completion of the project.
"My project was to design and construct an installation that will be used at a family beach house. This exterior piece will also help to raise awareness about keeping the beach environment clean as it will be overlooking a public beach where it can be noticed by many people "said Amanda.
"It is filled with rubbish found on beaches in the eastern suburbs, and demonstrates the variety of litter such as plastic, paper, straws, cups, bottles, bottle lids and other interesting objects. I filled the letters in the form of brown and yellow at the bottom symbolic of sand, and then blue materials for water and white materials on the top for froth. I feel as though my design grabs people's attention and perhaps will have an impact on them to avoid littering and disposing their rubbish on beaches."
Allplastics utilises a wide variety of clear, opal, Frosted and solid colours to CNC route various shapes and fabricate an exciting range of displays; public exhibits and point of sale concepts.
