A terrarium is a collection of small and large plants growing in a transparent sealed container providing a closed environment that can be used to illustrate how an ecosystem works. Within the terrarium’s walls, many different natural processes may be observed: photosynthesis, respiration and the water cycle.
The Allplastics Engineering team is proud to be associated with the fabrication of a series of dome and cylindrical shaped acrylic terrariums. These terrariums were expertly installed, by Karisma Joinery, at the Lounge Bar of Sydney’s Star Casino.
Designed by DWP for the Star Entertainment Group, the terrariums’ size and bespoke shape posed challenges which were overcome by experimenting with various hinge designs and incremental testing. The magnificent result attracts positive feedback by patrons and visitors alike.
The Terrarium is more than 2.1Meter Tall and measures more than 1Meter Diameter with a hinged door.
We can also supply smaller cylindrical terrariums for offices and homes utilizing clear acrylic tubes ranging from 100mm diameter to 500mm diameter
