Allplastics Engineering prepared the heavy duty Food grade High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) chopping board for the Orchid Persian Restaurant in Sydney. The chef of the restaurant required a sturdy meat slicing and slitting surface, which is food grade. 70mm thick HDPE from Allplastics was manufactured for this application. The owner and the chef of the Orchid restaurant were more than happy with the results achieved. The previous cutting board was timber, which did not meet the requirements of HACCP inspections. Allplastics stocks and manufactures an extensive range of materials and parts for the food processing industry.

The Meadowbank Tafe recently opened a new section of their offices where Pep Core Diffuser Ceiling Panels from Allplastics were installed by Adonis Building. “We were looking for a material that would not be overpowering, which would still offer texture and transparency when backlit.” said Christina Melinz from Melinz and Associates. The Pep Core Design Composite panels form Allplastics Architectural Division was the perfect choice. The light green tint of the two surface panels adds a sense of mystique while diffusing the light beautifully. The structure of Pep Core will not allow the panels to deflect with a minimum of support on the edges.

The Italian Forum in Sydney’s Leichhardt district houses a Cultural Centre with state of the art facilities to accommodate a wide range of performing arts as well as corporate and social events. Allplastics provided the “Design Composite ORANGE Pep-Core” translucent decorative panels, which can be seen as the wall dividing the cloak room from the Box Office counters. The Pep-Core panels are strong and lightweight with a spectacular effect of diffusing the light and complimenting the red theme of the forum. Chilli Red Perspex frost panels were also used by the centre as directional signage in the foyer.

For hundreds of centuries timber extracted from trees such as the African Blackwood & Apricot trees have been used to craft the wind instruments such as the flute and the duduk. Acetal (Delrin) rods supplied by Allplastics Engineering have been used to machine Flutes with surprisingly authentic reproduction of the traditional wooden version. Availability of traditional materials as well as difficulty of working with materials such as “Ebony” made this viable. Acetal allows a machining process that provides a very smooth surface and a consistent finish from one batch to the other. It has good resistance to moisture and easy to maintain and clean. The Material can be CNC machined, milled and threaded with excellent results. Allplastics stocks and cuts a wide variety of Acetal rods and sheets as well as a precision machining service.
